Brother Tongue was formed following our production of The Beach in 2005, a Danish play by Peter Asmussen.

Who we are:

Elly Green
Elly is a freelance theatre director. She trained on the 2-year MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College. She has directed four full length productions: Copenhagen (Tabard Theatre), Skylight (Stephen Joseph Theatre), The Beach (Theatre 503) and The Zoo Story (Etcetera Theatre). Her assistant-directing credits include: Her Naked Skin, Oedipus (National Theatre), The Lightning Play (Almeida Theatre), To Reach the Clouds (Nottingham Playhouse), Improbable Fiction (Yvonne Arnaud and National Tour), Villette (Stephen Joseph Theatre), Rose Bernd (Arcola Theatre).

David Duchin
David is the general manager of the People Show Studios in London, a theatrical production manager, and a translator of Danish and Norwegian plays.

Will Hammond
Will is an editor at Penguin Books and senior reader at Theatre503. He was previously editor for drama publishers Oberon Books.
